erniej“I have been playing drums for more years than I wish to recall. When the Red White and Blues Band received an invitation to perform at the Marquette Area Blues Fest, we were thrilled. We were blown away with the professionalism of Sombrero Sound Company. The sound engineer assisted me in getting the best sound out of my DW Drum kit. He listened to the band members about the sound we were looking for. The onstage monitors were fine tuned and adjusted when the performance began. The sound engineers made adjustments as needed throughout our performance. Because of Sombrero Sound Company’s efforts we enjoyed the show as much as the audience. THANK YOU JIM AND CREW—YOU WERE FIRST RATE. I RECOMMEND SOMBRERO SOUND COMPANY.”

– “Ernie J” Olivares, Red, White and Blues Band

rustywright“I had three different stage personnel at my side the entire time just waiting to assist with whatever I needed. As soon as my components were assembled and in place the sound engineer began directing me so he could dial in my kit. Once that was completed the engineer running sound for the monitor mix, which is the sound system we use on stage, asked what I needed in my monitor. I needed vocals, horns, keys, bass and kick drum. The sound engineers repeated the process with every member of the band until the monitors were tailored to their liking. Considering we have a 7 piece band it would seem to be a long process, but from the time we entered the stage with our gear to setup and do a sound check, to our introduction for our performance, the whole process took roughly 20 minutes.”

– Dan Mata, Rusty Wright Blues Band

john“I have been working with Jim for over 15 years. He is the go-to guy when it comes to having quality sound for big events. Jim is one of the hardest working and professional sound engineers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is patient, knowledgeable, and always ready to go the extra mile to make the music sound it’s very best.”

steppininit“We’ve dealt with hundreds of sound professionals all over the country, and Jim is The Man. We’ve worked with him in a variety of venues; big festivals, packed nightclubs, theaters and listening rooms, and he never breaks a sweat. His gear is exceptional… everything always sounds great and goes off without a hitch. Not only is he an incredible engineer, but he’s an incredible person, and definitely someone you want on board for your event. Snatch him up before we take him out on the road!”
